Strait of Hormuz on Watch

U.S. stock futures are relatively flat ahead of the Wall Street open despite the United States entering Israel’s war against Iran over the weekend by striking three nuclear sites.

The U.S. launched attacks Saturday at Iranian sites in Fordo, Isfahan and Natanz as world leaders stressed dialogue on peace talks.

Oil prices are modestly higher after rallying in recent weeks following the increased tensions in the Middle East. Investors are bracing for a potential Iranian retaliation and possibly a disruption in the Strait of Hormuz.

Investor focus will continue to be on headlines out of the Middle East along with a deluge of economic data this week.
