Stocks Aim Higher Despite Amazon (AMZN) Miss

U.S. stock futures are higher in premarket trading as equities attempt to end a volatile week on a positive note. The moves come after stocks fell sharply on Thursday with the market once again bogged down by technology stocks.

Today’s gains come even as Amazon (AMZN) shares fell 7% after the ecommerce giant posted earnings per share slightly under analyst expectations and told investors to expect $200 billion in capital expenditures this year.

Bitcoin Futures (/BTC) are also rebounding today after falling to 60K in overnight trading. The Crypto Future is down over 20% this week and hit its lowest levels since October of 2024.

With the January Jobs report delayed to next week, investors will continue to watch earnings fallout along with Consumer Sentiment due this morning.
