Shutdown Ends, Dow to Record Highs

U.S. stock futures are slightly lower in premarket trading after a mixed session on Wednesday saw more rotation out of tech.

President Donald Trump late Wednesday signed into law a funding bill to end the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history. The measure, which will fund government operations through the end of January, was passed by the House of Representatives Wednesday night in a 222-209 vote.

The Dow Index on Wednesday closed above 48,000 for the first time, putting the 30-stock index on pace for its best weekly performance since late June.
