U.S. stock futures are sharply higher ahead of the Wall Street open after comments on a trade deal have investors optimistic. The positive moves come after President Trump announced a trade deal between the U.S. and United Kingdom had been struck. “The agreement with the United Kingdom is a full and comprehensive one that will cement the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom for many years to come,” Trump said in a Truth Social post after teasing the announcement in previous posts. This comes after the Fed kept interest rates unchanged at yesterday’s meeting. The Fed, in their first meeting since President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariff announcements last month, said the risks of seeing higher inflation and unemployment had risen.

Investor focus today will continue to be on Tariff headlines along with Jobless Claims data this morning.

• Oil (/CL) – Oil prices are up nearly 2%, breaking above $59 a barrel, as the Federal Reserve sees growing economic uncertainty and investors look toward U.S.-China trade talks this weekend.

• Gold (/GC) – Gold prices are down 1.3% near $3345, pressured by a firmer dollar and U.S.-China trade talks optimism, while the Federal Reserve held interest rates steady. 

• Bitcoin (/BTC) – The crypto future is up over 3.5% near 100K in the premarket. Bitcoin Futures are above 100K for the first time in 3 months.

• VIX – The CBOE Volatility Index was down 5% on Wednesday and settled at 23.55 as stocks rose modestly. It is down another 3% premarket to 22.7.

• U.S. Dollar (/DX) – The dollar is up around 0.5% to 99.9.

• DZ Bank upgrades AMD (AMD) to Buy from Hold

• JPMorgan upgrades Rockwell Automation (ROK) to Neutral from Underweight

• B. Riley upgrades Taboola (TBLA) to Buy from Neutral

• Wedbush downgrades Uber (UBER) to Neutral from Outperform

• Erste Group downgrades Amgen (AMGN) to Hold from Buy

• BofA downgrades Archer Daniels (ADM) to Underperform from Neutral
